Beginning Monday 20th November, Saxonbrook Medical will be participating in and sometimes hosting the new Crawley Improved Access Service (IAS). This service is designed to increase the number of appointments available in normal opening hours to all Crawley patients.
The Crawley IAS is a new type of service in which several practices work together to try to meet the increasing demand on GP services. It means that you could be offered a GP appointment at another local surgery where the IAS is operating. The IAS will operate from various surgeries on different days, including Saxonbrook and will see patients who require an urgent same-day appointment which is not related to a long term or ongoing condition.
The GPs are employed by the IAS directly so participating practices will solely be providing room spaces and not their Doctors; the availability of Saxonbrook GPs to our own patients will not be affected.
Please note you will need to give consent for the IAS GP to view your medical record in order to treat you; for data protection reasons without your consent we will not be able to offer an appointment. Please also note that this new service does not guarantee to provide an appointment, but it will increase the number of appointments available for urgent same-day requests.
